My name is Morgan Rease and I am a passionate, curious scientist with aspirations to change the world for the better, through food. In 2015, I helped start the world’s first cultivated meat company, Memphis Meats (now UPSIDE Foods). After 8 busy years of research, product characterization, facility design, sensory analysis, and new product development for one company, it was time for something new. Today, cultivated meat is an emerging global industry within the broader alternative protein space; collaboration and knowledge sharing will be key to the long-term success of these industries. As a highly skilled, adaptable start-up veteran, arguably the most experienced food scientist in the world for cultivated meat, I want to be your go-to food scientist.
